John Graham

John Graham is partner and founder of Graham, Smith and Partners International Tax Counsel. He has specialised in international taxation for over 30 years and his clients range from large multinationals and banks to medium-sized businesses and international families. He is frequently involved in advising clients on the tax treatment of trusts and where necessary going to court.

John is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB), a member of the Dutch Institute of Registered Accountants and an English Chartered Accountant. He speaks regularly at international courses and seminars and publishes on tax matters in Dutch and International journals. He is a founding member and treasurer of the International Specialist Group (ITSG), a former Chairman of the International Tax Committee of one of the 10 largest accounting networks and was board member of the Transnational Taxation Network (TTN). He is an honorary board member of STEP Benelux.

Besides his work John is a rower and plays saxophone. He is treasurer of the Amsterdam Rowing Association, treasurer of “Het Muziek”, formerly Asko Schönberg Ensemble and treasurer of Arti et Amicitiae, the oldest artists’ club in Amsterdam.

John speaks Dutch, English, German, French and Italian (basic).
